Well Memorial Day came and went, and the weather we were supposed to get, didn’t come. Too late to take a brisket out to thaw, so I settled on a quick cook...chicken. Took out two whole fryers, and my last pack of wings. My better half wanted charcoal grilled chicken breasts for the week, so I fired up the Weber kettle while the rest of the chicken sizzled on the Lang.

Chicken breasts were simple seasoned, SPG & olive oil. I used Lang bbq rub on the whole chicken and wings. And I marinated the wings in worsh, Italian & Tabasco (love that combo). Also, near completion I basted one of the birds with bbq sauce. Cooked at 275 for roughly 2 hours. Put whole birds on first, then the wings, then the breasts. Everything came off at 170, at roughly the same time. Timing, taste, everything was perfect. We enjoyed our wings hot, and have leftover chicken to cook with for a week or so.

Oh, and I cooked on pecan wood from start to finished.
Thanks for looking!

The Worcestershire, Italian & Tobasco is a marinade I've been using for years !!! That's the first I've heard anyone else using it. Makes for delicious chicken. Your chicks many ways sure looks good, hope your peeps were suitably impressed. LIKE !!

Thanks Troutman! You know, I believe I picked that recipe up on this site. I know I didn’t make it up on my own, but it is so dang good, you really don’t need any other sauce.

Chicken looks great! We had some pretty crappy weather here too...hit and miss plus hot as hell.

I marinate in that same combo too. Sometime try substituting some low sodium dales for the Worcestershire. Adds a little different twang if ever looking for something a little different.
