Hello, all. Just checking in as all good newbies should. Got referred here by my brother, Seboke, and I must say, he hit it right on the head when he told me what a great, helpful site this is.
My name is Jim. Live in the Phoenix, AZ area. I am currently a police dispatcher, after working as a police officer, firefighter, and a few years in the Army as an MP. Going to school to get my degree to teach either junior high or high school math. Should be done with that before to much longer.
Unfortunately (please, don't beat me), I have not smoked anything edible in my life. After talking to Ken (Seboke) and looking around a little bit here, I just might consider it. I do like cooking on the grill, but standing in front of a blazing hot grill at 4pm in July in the deserts of Arizona is not something that is at all pleasant. Should I start, I am sure to be around for any tips.
That's about it. Great site with lots of helpful info. I hope that I will be able to return the favors someday.
