Headin out tomorrow for eastern Michigan. Been hired to cook for 80 folks on saturday. The Lang is gonna be rollin in TBS from 3 am sat, till 5 pm sat. I am responsible for 6 butts and 3 packers, a half dozen fatties,corn on the cob and Baked potatoes. My Buddy Richtee will be givin me a hand saturday afternoon with the busy part of the event, pullin, slicin, and shuckin. Weather looks awesome,and this party has been known to be a dandy!

I'll try to get a few pics of the foods, and maybe some of the event.

You folks all have a nice weekend, I'll post a report/thread on sunday when I drag myself back home.

My Father went to Kalamazoo College. (The little school)
He graduated in '53 then went to Korea but he took me there in '78 when I was a sophmore in HS he took me there and told me "people will know me there" I thought he was NUTS!
FIRST guy we saw on campus called him by name and said it's "been a while".

I was BLOWN away.

I tild this guy that my buddy rich will be givin me a hand. He said,"does he like to smoke cigars and drink?". I told him " well,......yeah!", hes said he had lotsa bourbon around there to hide!

Yep, Rich is gonna help we with the hard part, Me and the Lang can do just fine with the early part! Thanks for the well wish's folks, see ya sunday!

Curious to see how you did the corn with the Lang. If you can, let me know what you did, whether it had a smoke flavor, and about how long you cooked it and at what temp? You happy with the corn results? I know the meat must have been awesome!!!

The corn was OK. Nothing to do with the Lang, but it's the end of the season and it wasn't the freshest, but not bad. Dan had it wet down in bags and we just tossed 'em in the cooker while the meat was doing the cooler thing.

Everything went well.. I do have picts, but my hosting place is messing with me. Might just have to go to Bucket or something.

The Q-View will feature a new to me format for serving Butt... "Pork-ina-Cup" LOL...
