charcoal sale!

Heard a lowes comercial on the radio a little bit ago. It was advertising ybe 9.98 twin packs of charcoal again, until June 30th I believe.

I saw that at Lowe's website.  "Limit 2 packs per customer."  That's 80 lbs.  On sale through 7/4/14.

Home Depot won't be too far behind.  Watch for their price matching tomorrow or Friday.  I've never seen HD limit the number you can buy if you need more than 80 lbs.

Well, that didn't take long.  Home Depot has the same packaging for $9.88.  Their sale will probably last through the July 4th weekend.  No limit on purchases.

Having charcoal on hand reminds me of the way I use to stock ammunition back when I was into shooting sports.  You could never have enough and always bought more when it was on sale.  I just checked my log and I have 338 lbs of charcoal in the garage.  I'll probably pick up more.

I have 4 twin packs in my basement right now, and I imagine I'll probably add a couple more to the stock pile before J4.  Just can't beat less than $0.25 per pound on Kingsford.  A lot cheaper than lump.

If my memory serves me, this will be their last major sale for the year?  If there is one for labor day, I don't remember it.

Last year the price on Labor Day for the same 2-pak was $12.

Yeah here in East Texas Lowe's and Home Depot are both running it for $9.98. limit 2   I got 4 last month when they ran it probably go back and get 4 more.

Not sure if you have Cash and Carry in your neck of the woods, but you can check other restraunt supply chains as well, but Cash and Carry has 40 lb. bags of Lazzari lump for $15 every day. Right now they are on sale for $12.

I stocked up on lump, so not sure it still holds?

Wally World had RO lump at $8 for 20 lb.  That is about half price for previous years.

I had to go to the bank today and since HD is across the street from it, and I still had a gift card from Xmas, I'd grab a couple more bags. They were completely sold out! Most of the grills they normally have in stock were gone as well. One dude was loading his truck with a new grill.

I guess there's going to be some bbqing next weekend!
