Something else I remembered... and easy to do is pull the spark arrester and clean it. That will cause bogging down too.

Thanks once again. I'll get to these great ideas but need to sort the fuel line first. Am I correct fuel line in tank should have a filter and extend to the bottom of tank?

These tanks should have 2 fuel lines going to them. One is the supply line and should lay on the tank floor. Should have a weighted filter on it. The other line is a return line. It returns unused fuel from the carb back to the tank.

Wish me luck. Carb rebuild tonight. Fuel lines replaced. Boy those were a PITA. Used some of my electrical experience and made a fish wire of green wire used for floral stuff the wife had. Poked holes in the line with an awl and inserted wire and then twisted it all up and fed it through. I think the lines are a common problem as my blower had the same issue. What is best thing to prevent them from disintegrating? Drain tank or does the stabilizer help with that?

It's always better to sharpen one that is only dull, whether you do it yourself or have it done by a Pro.

I never had any running problems that my Son couldn't handle, so I can't help with the bogging down, and it sounds like you're on the right track anyway.

I should mention though that if you're cutting your own "smoking wood" or Shavings, I would drain the Bar-oil reservoir, and fill it with cooking oil, so you don't get your wood full of Nasty Bar Oil.
