I have ordered my Big Block and have a couple propane tanks already. But, I was wondering if you can run a Big Block using natural gas. I have thought of putting a T on my gas connection I use for my grill right now and running it to my Big Block. I know you have to convert grill lines to do this or use a grill made for natural gas. But, I was thinking that if the way that smoking meat works is indirect heat and low temps; wouldn't natural gas work great? Maybe I am off a bit. But, I have enjoyed reading all the threads on here and for some reason someone on here has always tried what someone else is thinking of doing. I thought I would throw that out there and be told if it was possible or if I should get those thoughts out of my head all together.

Converting propane to NG and vice-versa normally requires changing jets in the burner to get the correct air-gas mixture.

I don't know the details on GOSM type of burner.

Contact a local heating company, they should be able to see what you have for propane and get you the right one for natural gas. Good luck.
