Smoke Blower
Hi everyone,
Today I’d like to share my latest grill project with you. The build is finally finished, and the grill has already seen its first few cooks.
I randomly came across the Instagram pages of foguestx and alfrugoni, and the grills they build immediately caught my attention. I loved the concept and wanted to build something along those lines, but I didn’t want to make an exact copy. Instead, I incorporated quite a few ideas of my own.
One of the things I really like about this type of grill is how versatile and customizable it is. You can add all kinds of accessories and adapt it to whatever cooking style you prefer.
The project started when a friend happened to give me a roughly 8-inch-long section of an old agricultural roller. Since I already had most of the other materials lying around in my garage, I basically had everything I needed to get started.
The old piece of farm equipment eventually became the heart of the grill: a massive, round fire bowl. I built a mobile frame underneath it with two large, rustic iron wheels, so I can easily move the whole grill around the yard.
Versatility was especially important to me, so I added several different features and accessories. There is a swing arm that allows me to hang meat hooks or cooking pots over the fire. I also built a swiveling cooking grate and a mount for a grill basket.
This setup gives me a lot of flexibility when it comes to creating different heat zones and using different cooking techniques. I can move the grate in and out of the heat, cook directly over the fire, or hang pots and meat over the coals.
I documented the entire build with photos, so I’d like to show you how the grill came together step by step — from the first piece of steel to the finished cooker.
Warning: Picture overload ahead!
Thanks for checking out my build and making it through all those pictures!
I really appreciate you taking the time to follow along and see how the grill came together.
Hope you enjoyed the build — and happy grilling!

Greetings from Germany!
Axel
