Sure can. I tried shortening the foiling time and it did give more chew but when I didn't foil, She Who Must Be Obeyed said that's the way she likes them. Guess how I do them now.

Happily so my friend.    Went on a date one time and ordered a nice medium rare steak.  Girl I was with freaked out when it hit the table.  saying:  "Oooooohhhh gross, it's bloody!!!"

Hmmm, what to do in this situation?

One option of course would have been to call the waiter over and ask him to take my steak back and have the kitchen burn it.

Instead, I grabbed a folding drink menu and placed it between the girl and my steak, shielding it from her view while I enjoyed the heck out of it!.

Needless to say, that was  our one and only date
