Slicing up a couple chunks of apple this weekend when I encountered some with buggy trails. I assume the buggy pieces would provide lots of protein? Yum? :drool

That's Swiss Apple, it's supposed to look like that. It breathes better than regular apple.
 
When I get wood from friends that are cutting down an old tree I encounter some of this.  It doesn't hinder my use of it at all.
