I ate dinner at my brother's house tonight.  He smoked chicken while we sipped on 101's & soda.  He smoked over apple wood and used a rub made by McCormicks called Sweet & Spicy.  This wasn't your typical sweet & spicy to me.  The spice was there but it really hit on the sweetness with a good tasting accent of cinnamon.  It was very tasty and delicious, but I felt like it was meant for more.  Like a rub on a spicy marinated or injected pork ribs maybe or a roast.  Or how about after a brine?  Are there recipes for a brine that adds heat to the meat?  I think that would be best.  Then add this rub.  Sounds heavenly to me.

I have tried McCormick's Cowboy Rub....has coffee in it. It was really good too!
