Got a question for everyone,I plan on wrapping my brisket in paper when it gets up to temp,my question is when I let it rest should I wrap it in foil when I put it in the cooler or leave it in the paper wrapped in towels

Depends on how severly your Mrs or Laundry Person is going to beat you when they see the greasy stained towels!
Double wrapping in foil will retain the Juices. Paper will not and some of that goodness will be in the towels. I would go with Foil...JJ

I have a couple of towels specifically for warming brisket in my cooler ;)

I usually put a layer of foil between the paper wrapped brisket to keep most of the juices in the paper inside the cooler. Have held them for upwards of 6 hours like this before, and still well above 140 at serving time.

I had a foil pan that I put the brisket in after I wrapped it with foil , put some old towels on top it was still very warm 4.5 hours later when we served it!

I've been wrapping in paper for years, I too have some old towels I use strictly for my BBQing
I just leave mine in the Paper. But Foil is good too

I use a disposable aluminum for foiling. Let it rest/cool down until about 170/180 wrap it up and toss into the cooler with towels.
