Hello Everyone,
I go camping almost every other weekend in the spring/summer/fall and I'd like to start smoking some things while camping, I have pleanty of time and who doesn't want a great meal :)
I've been looking at both the Brinkmann Vertical smoker and the offset smoker... they are about the same price (within $20) so I'm considering both.
I like the vertical box smoker because it appears more portable, easier to load etc. However I have read that some people have had issues with keeping temps etc...
Is the offset smoker better at keeping temps, less issues, etc?
What's the pro's and con's of each?
I'll start out with poultry and ribs and move my way up to longer smokes, eventually I'd like to try some pork shoulder and/or brisket, once I can keep the temps stable..
Thanks much!
