I have found a 4 year old barely used with no side firebox. Is it worth $75? I am thinking yes! Are the side fireboxes easy to find? I am looking on lowes and home depot web sites and not finding it.

I can't say for sure, I only paid about 50 for mine with fire box but I also had to put a little bit of work into making it look presentable. But if you want it go get it, Its not like your talkng about a huge purchase or something you have to finance for 5 years. I know I Have seen fire boxes for chargrillers at lowes regularly, but I don't think I have seen one for a brinkman. YOu could probably get a chargriller box a make it work pretty easy

Thats the question. I think the grill itself is worth it IF I can find a side firebox...
I might get it today.

I'd say that's a bit high, VLap, unless it's pristine... then it's a good deal. Grates in great condition, no rust, undercarriage solid... then yeah... Dunno bout the boxes...check the B'mann site?

I'll third what Rich said but add that if it is an older one that is made of heavier material, then it may be worth it. The new ones are pretty thin (I have one) and wish I would have tried to buy the neighbor's old one sometimes. I imagine if you could find a sfb for another model, it wouldn't be that hard to mount it. You may have to drill some holes if they don't line up -- as long as the main heat openings line up fairly well. I did not know that Brinkmann made that model without the firebox.

It is 4 years old, far from the ocean (lack of rust) they say its very clean and seldom used.
It does have the punch outs for adding the sfb.
I can get it now for $50

I'll fourth what Rich said, and second what Dave said. I like mine because it is the older, heavier model. Not sure if they sell just a firebox, but wouldn't be surprised if they did.

In really appreciate the grilling tip and stuff... "Don't use maranade from raw meat on cooked foods... Always be sure your meat is cooked to a safe temprature...don't forget to clean the burners...never apply paint to the interior of your grill... wash hands before and after handling meat..." YEESH!

I appreciate you taking one for the team!

I just sat on hold for 36..yes 36 freaking mins waiting for a simple answer on replacement parts. Yes, I did your website. I need a SFB for an older SNP... but heck with it. You folks better learn to actually ANSWER your phone, because there are many other manufacturers with better products that do. Food for thought...if yer capable.

Good freakin' day.

I have an email address from the support rep who answered my inquiry about their crappy charcoal grate in the new Smoke N Pits. I can get it for you this afternoon. It is on my home computer, and I am at work now.
