I have a Brinkman Smoke 'N' Pit Charcoal Offset Smoker and normally use lump charcoal and wood chips/chunks with decent success. My question is can I use wood only in my fire box? Will it get too hot? Not hot enough? I have only used this smoker 3-4 times so I am still trying to figure it out.
