I bought a turkey and want to brine it but it says something like 8% water and salt added. Can I still brine it. Don't want to much salt. But still want all the other stuff I am throwing in the brine too
What should I do?

Yes, just cut back on the salt in your brine a little and the spices you add will shine through. Rinse the bird real good before and after you brine it. i have done turkeys like that before and they came out very good, not salty at all but very moist and juicy, flavor like I had never had in a turkey.
