So do i need to adjust my ingredients of my brine if I'm going to brine 3 turkeys instead of one? I have 3 18lb that i want to bine in my cooler. Was gonna do 2 cup salt and 2 cup brown sugar 2 gallon water for just 1 turkey ...can i use that or do things need to increase?

So to test how much water... i just put the birds(still in bag) in cooler and filled with water...it''l be close to 6-7 gallons to cover.

1 Cup Salt per Gallon Brine is common but don't soak more than 4 to 6 hours. I use 1/2 Cup Kosher Salt (3.5 oz.) Per Gallon and soak overnight with good results.
If you measured 7 Gallons, put 4 Gallons COLD Water and 16 Pounds of Ice in the Cooler. Bring 1 Gallon Water to a Boil and add 3.5 to 7 Cups Kosher Salt and the Same of Sugar in the boiling water and dissolve. Add and stir the Hot into the Cold and add the COLD Turkeys. Depending on the amount of salt you chose, soak 6 hours to overnight...JJ

Hey ChefJimmy, awhile back you posted your turkey brine recipe along with a gravy recipe that you made from ingredients you smoked with the turkey and then put in blender. Would it be possible to redirect me to that thread? I had it saved and used it every year and of course I got a new computer and didnt save any of my recipes! UGH! Thank you very much and have a great holiday.

Thank you! It actually is a different gravy recipe (or method I should say) but the same brine recipe which is what I really wanted. All of this looks great though. Thanks and have a great holiday

Same recipe, as far as I remember, just Puree everything after simmering. You then put the Puree back in the pot and simmer, more, to desired thickness or thicken by other means to maintain volume...JJ
