Brine in water pan?

So I'm wondering if it's safe and/or logical to use the brine solution leftover from the turkey to fill the water pan in my vertical smoker? I know you can add things to the pan for flavor, but I was worried about bacteria.
 
I would toss it and start new myself . Not saying it isn't / wouldn't be safe , but that stuff gets everywhere . I try to keep it contained to one area , plus I would think it needs to get to a boil to take any risk out of the equation .
