I cured my new smoker and noticed smoke coming out of the smoker around the seams. It wasnt gushing out, but very noticeable. Is this normal?

rockiestring,

smoke exiting around the door is normal. I've never had it leak out of the weld seams of mine. If you modify your exhaust and extend it into your smoker cavity you will notice it more, but it is well worth it.

Rockie, your smoker is DEFECTIVE!!! Box it up and send it to ME! :P LOL

Smoke leakage around the door is normal, remember you want the smoke to leave the unit (perferably up the stack). If your unit has a smoke damper in the exhaust stack make sure that it is fully open.
