I may have already ask this in the past, if so forgive me but i put this boston butt on a 730 last night and it went 201 at almost to the minute 730 this morning. I wrapped tightly in aluminum foil then wrapped in towel and in my ice chest it went. problem is we are not eating til around 4 this afternoon. will it be ok like it is or do i need to go ahead and pull, put in the fridge and warm up this afternoon??

You will be good to go. It will stay hot for hours. If you do get nervous you can always pull it and put it in a crock pot on warm and be good to go as well. Happy eating!

Be careful the IT does not fall below 140°! I would leave it wrapped very tightly in the foil and put it in the ice chest (with no ice) and cover with towels. When the IT falls to around 160° or so, I would leave in the foil and put it in the oven at the very lowest temperature which is usually around 170°. About an hour before you plan to eat, bump the oven up to 190-200°

Wrap it up in foil and out it in your oven at 170.
Or keep in an ice chest and you will have no problems keeping it hot until 4pm.
I’ve held pork butts for many hours and they stay so hot you can’t touch with your hands.

I agree with the above, ice chest or oven, personally I prefer the oven at 170, just because it seems easier.
