I am getting ready to smoke a couple of boneless turkey breasts (approx 3lbs each) and I am not sure how long I will need to brine them. I found a tasty sounding brine recipe on the forum but I am unsure of the time these breasts will need to absorb the tasty goodness!

I'm new to the forum and also to smoking meats so I could use all the help and advice I can get!

I see this is your first post! After this maybe you can stop by roll call & introduce yourself. That's where we can give you a proper welcome.

Your going to get alot of different answers on this. I personally go about 5 hours on breast, but I've seen some go 10-12 hours. There is a brine recipe in the WIKI for poultry. Give it a try you'll love it!!

Good luck & don't forget the q-view

Depends on the brine.  I would not go beyond 6 hours max on that size of a breast and most likely would only go 4

Thanks Scarbelly. Thats kinda what i was thinking. Last time I did these I brinded them overnight (12-14 hrs) and I think they were a little salty. I assume that was the problem.
