Bone-In Pork Butt @ $1.59/pound...I stocked up!

More important than the $1.59 sale price ... notice the $1.89 regular price! I talked to the butcher and $1.89 is their everyday price.

This is a central Missouri find (Jefferson City, MO). The forever-old-timey Schulte's IGA store has been acquired and is now called "The Hen House Market"

I got really lucky with my local grocer. Picked up a few for $0.99 a pound and then a few weeks later picked up a few more for $1.29 a pound

Nice score! I stocked up myself a couple of weeks ago. A St. Louis based chain (Schnucks) had them for $1.49/lb, but had a one-time use coupon in their app that brought it down to $.99/lb with a limit of 3. So I bought my 3, sent my girlfriend in for 3, and went back for several more at the $1.49 sale price. With deer season right around the corner it was time to stock up for sausage making

They typically are pretty high on their prices, but once in a great while they have a good deal. The pork butt sale usually happens around Labor Day weekend every year. I wasn’t really fond of having to download an app to get the $.99/lb, but that is the way the world is going unfortunately. Kind of like the look you get when you pay with cash anymore…lol

Schunks has a great meat department . Nice selection too . I remember pork butts on sale for .69 a pound with $25.00 purchase before all this insanity started .
I get all mine at GFS , but do my regular grocery shopping at Dierbergs .
Using the apps at either store gets you some great perks and cash back .

We have Dierbergs when we go to Lake Ozark...Nice store! Wrong side of the Lake for me though. We try to catch it, or HyVee on the way down.
One thing about Lake Ozark grocery stores - they all have HUGE liquor department :-)

They have the 15 hour sale today . I go to just buy the sale Items . Bob evans breakfast sausage 50 % off @3 bucks for a 1 lb. chub .

One thing about Lake Ozark grocery stores - they all have HUGE liquor department

The newer ones here do too . My Son works at the Lake St. Louis store . Liquor dept. is decked out right inside the front door . It's just like walking in and out of a liquor store .
