This Bone Dust has become my go-to rub for making pulled pork. I used a 4.5 lbs boneless pork shoulder coated in olive oil and covered with Bone Dust.

Bone Dust Rub
  • 1/2 cup paprika
  • 1/4 cup chili powder
  • 3 tablespoons salt
  • 2 tablespoons ground coriander
  • 2 tablespoons garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons white sugar
  • 2 tablespoons curry powder
  • 2 tablespoons dry hot mustard
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon ground basil
  • 1 tablespoon ground thyme
  • 1 tablespoon ground cumin
  • 1 tablespoon cayenne

I'm using mesquite and cherry wood on my weber kettle at 250.

This is after 8 hrs of smoke on the bbq, going into the oven at 250.

This is after 2 hrs in the oven for a total cook time of 10 hrs. IT was 200.

Pulled, and after a few sandwiches worth had disappeared.

Pulled pork on Oroweat crustini sandwich buns with some of Jeff's BBQ sauce.
