Blueberry Jalapeno Poppers

Can't take credit for the idea....I wanted something different so I asked the google machine, and it did not disappoint. I stuck pretty close to the proportions of the recipe.

Neufchatel, a salty cheddar from Murray's, and Smucker's blueberry preserves.

Purple as a mofo...

And a semi-clear cut shot.

Ran those on the pellet pooper till the bacon was tight and the peppers soft. Turns out these were pretty spicy peppers, but the sugar toned it nicely. If you're a bacon fan (who isn't?) and like blueberries, I'd give this a run.

It was wild. Sweet, salty and just a touch of savory from the cheddar.

I was completely out of ideas, and when I saw the blueberry, I knew it was on!

Definitely looks unique, I've made them before with honey which gives a similar savory/sweet, but this takes it to a different level. If you keep them in your lineup, you should call them your oompa loompa poppers!
