Haven’t been here in a bit, so posting up a recent smoke. Did some smoked beans and added blueberries. Came out awesome!

Well now, I just happened to be cooking Dutch's Wicked beans tomorrow and also have 3 pints of fresh blueberries in the fridge. I have always subbed peaches for the pineapple in his recipe, but tomorrow will be blueberries...

If you see this early enough, grab a can of blueberry pie filling as well. You’ll love them!

Well I didn't see this soon enough, BUT I just happen to have sugar free blueberry preserves so thanks for the ideas. Didn't really measure, but added maybe a cup if I had to guess and most of a pint of the fresh blueberries. Also used Swerv in place of the brown sugar that Dutch's recipe called for, trying to reduce sugar as much as possible. Next time I'll use a low/no sugar ketchup. The initial taste is good so we'll see what it tastes like after a couple of hours in the smoke. Here it is...

I'll be back later...

The beans turned out great with excellent flavor. I made Dutch's Wicked Baked Beans but used an equal part of Swerv instead of brown sugar, fresh blueberries instead of the canned pineapple, and also added maybe a cup of sugar free blueberry preserves. I'm very satisfied with how they turned out and want to thank Central PA Cowboy Central PA Cowboy for the ideas...

These were served as a side for a pulled smoked butt, cole slaw, and of course fresh corn. Nothing I would change except for maybe a sugar free ketchup to make it even lower sugar...
