BLTs and Grilled Bacon & Cheese

I got ahold of some various Small Maters, so I figured I see how they go with my BL Sammies.
So I did my usual frying of some half slices of Bacon.
Then I toasted 4 slices of Italian Bread, and covered one side of each with Miracle Whip.
Then about 5 slices of Bacon & some lettuce, and close ‘em up.
Then I cut most of the little Maters in half, so I could eat a half with each bite of my BL, making it a BLT.

Then the next night I Fried 8 half slices of Bacon, and buttered 4 slices of Bread.
I put 4 slices of Bacon & one slice of Cheese on each slice of Bread, and closed them up.
Then I buttered one side of each Sammy, and put that side down in a hot pan.
Then I put butter on the other sides, and flipped them around in the Pan until I’m happy with the color.

BTW: These Maters weren’t bad, but they were still a little “Non-Juicy” because they were store-Bought.

Boy I could eat these a lot more often than we do. Loved Them!!

Thanks for stopping in!

Stack the Bacon on one side of each Sammy:

Then I close it, butter one side, put that side down in the pan, and butter the other side while it's in the pan:

Keep flipping & rotating, until it's nice and evenly browned on both sides:

A couple of classic beauties you got there.

This thread also reminds me I need to make a dreaded trip to the store as we have no bacon in the house!

Looks good as usual Bear! Both types of sandwiches work for me. I could eat those every day. I don't cure my own bacon, I have to use store bought. I'd run out before the week ended though, lol. Thanks for sharing.

Looks real good Bear, we usually use the smaller ones for salads or dipping but they seem to work well in your blt.

Point for sure
Chris

looks like some good looking sammies there bear, got to love blt's! unfortunately i'm out of bacon right now, will be making some soon though as the weather if finally cooling down some, i just don't enjoy smoking when it's hot out as much as i do in the fall and winter.

nice looking sandwiches Bear! That's how I'd eat those maters too...but my wife will take time to slice them up and put them on a sandwich.

Thank You Mike!!
I usually use store bought Bacon for BLTs, because I slice mine a little too thick.

I'm on board with all of that Bear. Looks great!! Tracy gets those same tomatoes and I'll just sit there and eat them as a snack. Most often though they are used in salads. Big like sir!!

Thank You Chris!!
I'll use anything that's got some Juiciness to it. This week it was these little guys.
Next week might be Fresh Garden Grown.
And this Winter could very well be Canned Whole Tomatoes.

Thank You Jim!!
We've had a few cooler days lately.
I mowed a few days ago, and after my first lap around my yard (at Noon), I had to go back in & put on a T-shirt. My normal mowing attire is Sneakers & Shorts & My Vietnam Vet Hat. That's all !!

Thank You Ryan!!
Yup--I hate putting the little pieces in My BLT. All they do is fall out anyway, so I might as well do it in an organized fashion!!

I think I'm spoiled from all the years we grew Awesome Tomatoes next to the front porch, that I just can't enjoy store bought Maters of any kind.
