After reading Gonna Smoke’s thread about the hash I really wanted to try it. Wife and I decided to take a vacation this year to visit my sister in South Carolina, so I will get my opportunity on my Birthday but don’t really know which BBQ Joint to visit. I looked at the link that was provided for the different places that carry it. There was one listed in Simpsonville which is where I will be staying but the reviews of the place aren’t that great. They have another place in Greenville that isn’t that far & which is their original building and has a few better reviews, but not sure about that one either.

So, for the few that may have had the hash, can you recommend a good BBQ joint that has it on the menu.

Also going to be taking out my other relatives who live in the area to dinner there will be 10 of us; can anybody recommend a good place to eat that is in the Greenville area or close.

Any must see or must do’s while I’m there? THANKS

Welcome to South Cakalacky!
Bucky's is one, has several locations but the one on Roper Mountain rd. is my go to. Take a trip to downtown Greenville, lots of neat places to see and walk the bridge over the river that runs through the western end of town. Travelers Rest is another neat little place. if you are into walking or biking the Swamp Rabbit trail is worth checking out. im sure other local folks here will give other ideas. Hope you enjoy your visit.

Thanks Keith, but he's too far northwest of me. Now if he wants to come my way, Shealy's BBQ in Batesburg-Leesville is great, but that's probably 3 hours from Greenville...
