I was looking at the latest Chile Pepper mag and saw Chris Lilly has a new BBQ book out called Big Bob Gibson's BBQ book. I like reading them and looking for new things. I know Lilly whips up on the BBQ circuit. Never know though with some recipes in these cookbooks. Wanted to post if anyone is interested.
 
I use a slightly modified version of his pork butt injection.Gives the pork a nice sweetness.I will check it out-he is a nice guy-thanks.
 
Care to pass me your injection? Thanks. Always wanting to try new stuff.
 
That book will hit my local book store on may 12th, i told them to hold me a copy. I have used and modified some of his recipes also, have had good success with them also. If nothing else, it will be a good read.
 
I dont use as much sugar or salt.You can add herbs other ingredients as well.You should let injection sit in butt at least 4 hours.

THIS IF FOR 16 POUND FULL SHOULDER-ADJUST TO BUTT SIZE

3/4 cup apple juice
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup salt
2 TABLESPOONS Worcestershire sauce

I have used this alot and found it quick and easy-nice flavor etc.
 
This book is a MUST OWN, rite there with Peace,Love and BBQ.
 
With review like that I might just have to get that book Thanks fellows.
