Have you had any issues with it? I have been looking at that one and someone posted on here if you get it that you should purchase the warranty based on reviews but I haven't read the reviews on it yet to find out that the issues are.

No issues at all. I don't know of anyone having issues with this model. The reason people say to get the warranty(as I did) is simply because the MES warranty is only 90 days and at SAMs you can get a three year warranty for 30 bucks. That's nice insurance for cheap.

Do you have any photos of your setup?

Last week-end, I saw a whole pallet of MES 40 Gen 1 smokers for $299.99 at Academy Sports in NW Houston at the Willowbrook mall store.

Any one know the differences between the mes 40 at Sam's and the mes 40 at cabelas beside the $150 price difference?

I Dunno which MES 40 your referring to at cabellas, but I see they have a 40 inch sportsman elite for 383. The SAMs MES 40 is 329. SAMs is a 4 rack model with a stand included. The cabellas sportsman elite has no stand but comes with 2 more racks. Same size inside but the 6 racks are closer together than the SAMs with just 4

Yeah the cabelas one is on sale right now. Not on sale it is $150 more. Does any one know if you can add additional racks to the Sam's Club one?

Adding racks could be done but it would involve removing all the screws for it's racks and relocating them then adding 8 more for the 2 new racks. Not worth the trouble IMO.
