Hi Everyone:
I live in Central California and have been smokin for about 20 years now. I have burned up I dont know how many smokers to date. But I still keep buying them and keep burnin things up. but I do have to admit I have a killer marinade for Salmon. When me and my husband got married in 2005 I smoked about 10 whole salmons for our receiption. And Yes, I did catch those salmon.
I am married to a great guy and we live on a small farm. We raise Almonds, horses, sheep, geese, dogs, cats and what ever else wonders onto the place. We enjoy taking our 5th wheel toy hauler out whenever we can. We haul our motorcycles with us and that is a lot of fun too. I also enjoy fly fishing... hence the account name of flyfishingal. I have been fishing for about 50 years...yes I am over 50... but fly fishing for about 15 and I really love that. Another hobby I have is restoring old travel trailers. I have a 1960 16' Shasta with the wings. I call it my Cantina.
I am always looking for diffrent recipes and ways of doing things. This looked like a great place to learn.
We plant a garden each year... but for some reason this crop from the summer did not do real well so canning this year is not going to happen. I do use my food saver a lot. We enjoy or freezer a lot. I have a 1/4 beef we get each year... have a hog done each year and at least 1 lamb. My next project is going to be getting a chicken coop going. I have some on order now, they should be ready in a couple of weeks. I am also picking up a cage for raising California Quail this weekend.
