Nice job. I have a 5 pound slab in the freezer I need to cure and get on the smoker. Now that the temps are starting to cool down, I'll have to get on it.
 
Glad to see this post. I too make my own and the only bacon we buy is to wrap certain foods. Love the look of your bacon. Carry on........
 
I have to cut mine in half as well to fit in the "smallish" slicer! Great looking bacon.
we love our slicer but same here. i could actually mash a longer slice through but i like the length on my fingers currently
 
I have two bellies curing right now in the basic sugar, salt and cure #1. I'll start cold smoking it Sunday or Monday.
