Beef Tongue

Doing my first next week. Anyone here done them before?

Beef tongue is great stuff, so tender, juicy and flavorful.
Love best when cooked for Lengua Tacos or in a red or green chile sauce.

Lengua Tacos is the best way to use a tongue IMO. Tongue is basically the best pot roast meat ever.. mm.

My in-laws would cook them. Never smoked them. All I remember is seeing a pot of simmering water with a big ole tongue sitting in the middle of it. They loved it, Me never tried it. I couldn't get over looking at it in the pot.

Oh it looks awful to cook, I never deny that. If I hadn't had it first in taco form I doubt I'd ever had tried it my self.
