Ok the fam went to the movie last night and one of the previews was a “Beef it’s whats for dinner” spot that was unreal!!! So I posted it here ..... Drool log. Imagine this on a 30 foot high screen!!!!! After the spot ended my wife asked if I was OK cause she said I looked like I had been hit by lightening.....I just gazed back with a longing needful gaze.......

So all day I have been possessed by the fire roasted beef images until I finally said dang it it’s 5 o’clock somewhere I’m out the work door!!!!

So I ran home to get busy working on these double R ranch NY Roasts that we picked up for 3.99/lb. It was like fate!!!

Trimmed of the bone and seasoned heavily with SPOG

The bones went under the 1800 degree infrared broiler for a quick sear.

The bones then went in the pot with broth, a little soy, red wine, & Demi and after an hour of hard boil, a sweet onion went in!

Once the bones were creating magic I got a chimney of coals started in the X-Fire.

Added cherry logs on the coals to get the chamber up to temp.

:-). I’m sorry it’s an addiction and I don’t even think therapy could help me.....I’m too far gone....

Looks really good! I enjoy your passion and excitement for smoking / grilling proteins.

Your cooker is awesome!

Life is good!

Johnny Ray

Thanks Johnny Ray, the X-Fire was built with my son for his schools civil learning project. And after last night my wife says.....pretty clear all that money we spent on that cooker sure has paid off....

Fantastic job Civil!

Medium my favorite way to have steak....

Big Like and nice score on the steaks.

John

Thank John, I prefer to a bit more on the rare side but the wife is in your camp but still mighty tasty!

FYI for those that are interested in the X-Fire
