Yep, Bear Mt was bought out by Lignetics. Headquartered in Louisville, Colorado, Lignetics is the largest manufacturer of residential wood pellets in the United States. You can bet there is an MBA sitting behind a desk figuring out ways to cut costs, thus quality.I read somewhere that they got bought out by Lignetics (or something like that name). I bet they are blending more oak into the batches. Hence, lighter color.
With all these pellet companies getting bought out, you have know idea what you`re buying anymore. Makes me think i may just go back to my stick burners. I have always cut and split my own hardwoods for my stick burners. I knew exactly what i was burning. And the meats always tasted far better. Easy bake ovens (pellet smokers & grills) are convenient, that`s the only good thing about them.
I use to work in production factories, you are right on the money. Always some young buck in the office trying to make a name for himself by showing the company how much he can save them by cutting something out of the process, or by adding cheaper lesser quality of materials into the build. It will always bite them right in thee ass at the end of the day. That young buck will find another job when he becomes useless to them. Rinse & repeat.Yep, Bear Mt was bought out by Lignetics.
