BBQ Restaurant in the Joplin, MO Area?

I have friends visiting the Joplin, MO/Neosho, MO area this weekend. Can anyone recommend a quality BBQ restaurant? Hole-in-the-wall types are fine--maybe preferred. :)

I grew up in Joplin, but I don't remember any good BBQ places....

 I like Rib Crib very much. Red-Hot-and-Blue has good food, but a bit pricey. Both are on Rangeline road.

Some others are Big R's  and Jim Bob's.

Sorry I can't help you. I grew up in Carterville/Webb City/Joplin. Many places that were the best were in the path of the Joplin tornado in May.

My brother owns Minerva's on Main Street in Webb City. It was a famous candy shop for many years. If you're in the area and want to stop by, tell them that his brother recommended the place. He'll take care of you. You can look him up on facebook. Minerva's.

If you want great fried chicken go to Chicken Annies over the boarder in Kansas.
