We were wondering the same thing. Just have to see.

No it is a new one they are still at the Royal...

It is a new episode, and it is heating up. getting good, I know it is all staged but still interesting. Ole Myron is being accused by Lee Ann of the fact that they can't possibly have 500 judges as a cover up for a loss of his coming up.

I thought I gave up on this show but I watched it again and it was nice to see Myron go down and the little guys place in the money. Hurray for the Holla an swalla team. Johnny trig is the Man to share his talents. And for the student to come in at 66th out of 480 he be jammin

The latest installment of Pitmasters, was a little better than the past shows. Less struttin and crow-in, more human side of some of the competitors. In addition it was nice to see a local team get a little camera time with Myron. In fact Myron showed his good guy self in this episode, and it was really nice to see him kickin it with the Noobs, and of course they finished in the money, no doubt Myron's advice to go with chicken legs might have made the difference. In fact Myron's Pitmaster portrayed character is nothing like the real Myron as seen in this episode, it turns out Myron is a decent guy, and knows how to make friends and willing to lend a hand.

All the Pitmaster competitors said the Kansas City America Royal contest was a crap shoot, and the results sort of reveal the same thing, 3 of the 5 Pitmasters are slightly ahead of the middle of the 486 teams, Trigg's averages are the best and over sleeping Harry Soo lags slightly behind the middle of the pack. Surprise surprise, the local Noob team "Holla N Swalla" beats most of the Pitmasters and gets in the money with 3rd place chicken, this is pretty much what Myron and the other Pitmasters said would happen.

Maybe the Pitmaster's producer is learning something too about how to make this so far very lame show slightly more interesting.

darn missed it again

In the open the Iowa guys kicked butt, Grand Champion Boondoggle is one local guy from ankeny iowa and his brother from MO, the third place overteam team Iowa Smokey D's is also in Ankeny, ironically the best local bbq supply store/horizon dealer is in ankeny also.

This episode was by the best. Showed more the true side to the fella's & Gal

Yep.

Don't kid yourself. Competition BBQ ain't easy. Those deadlines are a monster. The schedules are crazy. It's tough to do consistently well...and that's why my hat is off to folks that can do it.

Myron ain't always a big jerk. As I've said before, he's the PT Barnum of BBQ. He's "selling" himself and hammin it up for the show. He's a showman alright, but he ain't a complete turd all the time. Like I said before, he was kind enough to let me see his smoker and was influencial in my decision to buy one (and that was before he had an ownership stake in that company).

Nice episode last night. I just wish they had shown more drunk people making fools of themselves.

I like the Myron from last night a lot better than the earlier version. He came across as human last night. Would not mind meeting that Myron.
