So as Idposted the other day, my overnight brisket was dry. Heated some uo last nite for tacos.

Well had a bunch still left, it was raining and nasty out, that calls for chili.

So started with my normal chili recipe but used the brisket instead of stew meat. I also had some of the beef broth from last nite, so added that to it along w chicken broth. Usually calls for 4 cups has 3/4 cup of beef broth, rest made up of chicken broth.

Added some ground ancho and california chilis and a splash of whiskey.

I figured this was going to be a thread about the chili being bad. Because that’s what would happen with me. :emoji_disappointed:

Looks good! I love using leftover brisket in chili. I posted a pretty killer one not long ago.

I've never done it, but have some leftover brisket in the freezer...I see it in my future!

Came out pretty damn good. Ive smoked chili before but never used something other than ground beef or stew meat

I bet that brisket soaked up all that good chili flavor. Given time and some good juice it will re-hydrate. Before I knew better I had a dried out flat that I should have used in chili. Nothing like a big bowl on a rainy cold day!
