They look like pequins to me, also. And, the "Boss" is right. Pequins are small, but pack a nice punch for their size. On the Scoville scale, pequins run 40,000 to 60,000 heat units. By comparison, jalapenos run 2,500 to 5,000.

FWIW, pequins are the pepper base used in the production of Cholula hot sauce.
