Anybody have this smoker?

This smoker at Cabelas is on sale. I am looking at the 48" for 249.00. I also get half of the shipping and 20.00 additional dollars off for using my Cabelas card.

Anyone used or know someone who has it?

That thing looks like a double door brickman. Before you buy one if you can go see and touch it I would and then go to Wally World and see the brickman model that are on sale there and see which one is a better buy.

Looking at the reviews on Cabelas own site, I'd steer clear of this. It also looks exactly like a brinkmann which is only $136 at Walmart. You'll need to modify the valve, cause the burner will go out if you try to smoke around 225.

I've looked at those in the store and read the reviews on their site. I would only have one if given to me for free, and then I would sell it to someone else. So basically no, I wouldn't buy one.....lol

Yes, read the reviews. A 3 star product rating out of 14 reviews is always suspect . A lot of people gave this one a thumbs down.

For that money I would go with the GOSM Big Block from Bass Pro, it is 24" wide as opposed to 16", you would be much happier...

And it is $50.00 Cheaper I might add.
