I sure hope your are right about a source surfacing. Thanks for all you doing some research and coming up with ideas.

I don't get it either. A couple of minutes of their time, and may have made an easy $100 in the short term, and depending on how things go, a several thousand dollar sale in the long view. Now, they get zip.Unfortunate to hear that about LSG. What is it with companies that don't employ business saavy CSR's? If I were in the market, their 36" version checks just about every box I have on the list.
Exactly! Customer for life, or never a customer. I just dont get it either.I don't get it either. A couple of minutes of their time, and may have made an easy $100 in the short term, and depending on how things go, a several thousand dollar sale in the long view. Now, they get zip.
That sucks about LS: I guess I won't be contacting them today as planned. Really none of my busiess but have you considered RecTeq? The only information I have on them is my SIL and daughter have one and it performs as good if not better than my MAK. RecTeq also has a new model out that can get to ripping hot temps for searing of 1000*. I think the model is a Bullseye Deluxe 380D.Well, I'll be crossing Lone Star Grillz off the list as a possible source for an igniter. After they ignored my contact via their web site, I called this morning. The lady I talked to had zero interest in getting me any physical dimension info, so I could see if they fit in the MAK. If they'd simply taken the 10-20 seconds to respond to the web contact and say they don't sell parts to non LSG owners, I would have been fine with that, and wouldn't have wasted both of our time this morning. They were on my list as a possible replacement for the MAK down the road( should it outright fail ), but I guess Yoder will go back to the top of that list.
I've looked at Recteq, but I'm pretty set on USA made only. If I had to replace it tomorrow, it would be a Yoder 640. Will definitely be keeping this MAK running as long as possible. It performs so well, and the basic chassis should last damn near forever. That sucks about LS: I guess I won't be contacting them today as planned. Anyway thought I'd toss it out there as a potential contender. For your sake I hope the MAK keeps on humming for years to come. I'm about to give up and start researching a replacement if I fail to source an ignitor in the near future.
A few years back the "Made in the USA" discussion was had at great length and I believe the consensus was almost nothing is 100% Made in the USA. Some parts and pieces will aways be imported/globally sourced.I've looked at Recteq, but I'm pretty set on USA made only. If I had to replace it tomorrow, it would be a Yoder 640. Oh I get that. Mainly try to focus on companies like Yoder, MAK, etc.. where the significant components like the steel fabrication and assembly are done here, and preferably with domestic steel. The electronic/electrical components are just about impossible to get 100% USA made.A few years back the "Made in the USA" discussion was had at great length and I believe the consensus was almost nothing is 100% Made in the USA. Internet info (just so we all know the source): Like many premium US-made manufacturers, they utilize a mix of American manufacturing and the best available global components for their electrical systems
Not trying to be argumentative, but this was the overall belief from the thread on the topic.
Those are 12V igniters.........the MAK is 120V.I searched silicon nitride igniter and there’s a decent list. GMG, Pitt boss, traeger, Pitts and Spits.
The GMG one seems to match your description of a hollow tube. Search Amazon for P-1158-GPFL.
Plus , those are a step up from the middle . If you've been using a Mak , why would you go backwards ?Mainly try to focus on companies like Yoder, MAK, etc.
Is it maybe an HVAC igniter then? Furnace, stove, etc ?Those are 12V igniters.........the MAK is 120V.
It likely is. I think pretty much all of the heart of a pellet grill is a byproduct of the HVAC industry. Pretty much how Traeger got his start; using a pellet heating stove as the basis for a smoker. Is it maybe an HVAC igniter then? Furnace, stove, etc ?
I'm not to sure of the 12v idea. Looking at the photos on Amazon they indicate 120V. I admit a quick glance and I can see someone thinking it is 12V.Those are 12V igniters.........the MAK is 120V.
Thanks for the possible fit. I'll see if i can get more information on them. Dimensions are pretty important with the MAK setup. Thanks Again!!!I searched silicon nitride igniter and there’s a decent list. GMG, Pitt boss, traeger, Pitts and Spits.

The YODERS are an awesome machine. If and when I replace the MAK one factor with be stability of the manufacturer. It's plain BS the spend that kind of funds for a grill then the manufacturer doesn't provide a path forward for past customers to keep the units going.I've looked at Recteq, but I'm pretty set on USA made only. You're correct, I was wrong there, it's 120V. Unfortunately the physical form, doesn't look like a match to fit in the MAK igniter tube. Not to say an adapter couldn't be made. Will keep that in mind, thanks.I'm not to sure of the 12v idea. Looking at the photos on Amazon they indicate 120V. I admit a quick glance and I can see someone thinking it is 12V.
The company( HEATFOUNDER ) that makes that GMG 1158 igniter that @SMOKEOCD listed, makes what looks like a dead ringer for the MAK FlashFire. It's a HEATFOUNDER part number HF1309A02-W. Trying to find a vendor in the USA that sells them. ( HEATFOUNDER is in China ). They have an Amazon store, but don't list this particular part.I'm not to sure of the 12v idea.
