Any I'm looking for a source for the MAK 2 Star General ceramic ignitor

I sure hope your are right about a source surfacing. Thanks for all you doing some research and coming up with ideas.

Well, I'll be crossing Lone Star Grillz off the list as a possible source for an igniter. After they ignored my contact via their web site, I called this morning. The lady I talked to had zero interest in getting me any physical dimension info, so I could see if they fit in the MAK. If they'd simply taken the 10-20 seconds to respond to the web contact and say they don't sell parts to non LSG owners, I would have been fine with that, and wouldn't have wasted both of our time this morning. They were on my list as a possible replacement for the MAK down the road( should it outright fail ), but I guess Yoder will go back to the top of that list.

Unfortunate to hear that about LSG. What is it with companies that don't employ business saavy CSR's? If I were in the market, their 36" version checks just about every box I have on the list.

I don't get it either. A couple of minutes of their time, and may have made an easy $100 in the short term, and depending on how things go, a several thousand dollar sale in the long view. Now, they get zip.

That sucks about LS: I guess I won't be contacting them today as planned. Really none of my busiess but have you considered RecTeq? The only information I have on them is my SIL and daughter have one and it performs as good if not better than my MAK. RecTeq also has a new model out that can get to ripping hot temps for searing of 1000*. I think the model is a Bullseye Deluxe 380D.
Anyway thought I'd toss it out there as a potential contender. For your sake I hope the MAK keeps on humming for years to come. I'm about to give up and start researching a replacement if I fail to source an ignitor in the near future.
