I’ve Been a Detroit fan since I was a kid and been watching hockey since fox had the shadow around the puck haha. Been playing for about 26 years now. Anyone else a hockey fan. I think it’s great that ESPN and TNT are showing NHL games. Hopefully it gets the sport a little more attention.

Minnesota born and raised. Never played have always watched. I remember the old school North Star vs Blackhawks game when fights broke out in pre game before the refs were even suited up and on the ice. The Fox puck gimmick, man I hated that!

Heck yes! Lifetime Bruins fan here. Never played, but was the team statistician for my college team. Became an LA Kings fan when their AHL affiliate Manchester Monarchs were local and I had season tix. Loved watching the kids come up and make it to the NHL. Had a great run: Bruins Stanley Cup in 2011, Kings in 2012, Bruins to the Finals in 2013, Kings win again in 2014, and then the Monarchs won the Calder Cup in 2015. Shame the west coast NHL teams pulled all their AHL affiliates closer to home the following year (though it makes sense). ECHL hockey was awful in Manchester, and the team folded, leaving a huge hole in the local professional hockey market that has yet to be filled.

And yes, that Fox glowing puck to try to help fans follow the puck was ridiculous, but they were trying, so I'll give them that. Watching the puck is a great way to miss a good hockey game, in my opinion.

Born and raised in the Detroit area. Been a Red Wing fan since I was old enough to remember anything... when I was a kid our whole hockey team went to see a game in the Old Red Barn other wise known as Olympia Stadium. Gordie Howe is still one of my heroes. I'll leave my opinions about the current state of virtually all professional sports out of this, but I haven't seen a hockey game in years. I turned off my cable tv about 7 years ago and there are no games to be had on the antenna. We have a local team, the Admirals who are the ECHL affiliate of the Carolina Hurricanes but I rarely head into downtown Norfolk for any reason.
