I was debating getting this unit but the promotional deal was too good to pass up. Here's the link and the promo code.

Promo code is ANOVAONE

According to the post I read about it on, the deal goes through 6/12, but I would jump on it before that because I bet at this price, they may just sell out.

I have the original immersion circulator.... If you want tender, fully cooked medium rare meat, this thing is awesome.... I have cooked beef cheeks twice.... tender, full of flavor... eggs, I haven't figured out yet.... tried about a dozen times to get the eggs finished the way I want them...
I paid the $179 on sale way back when.... $99 is a really good deal on a tool that cooks awesome, moist, tender and juicy food....

I use a cooler for a sous vide tub.......

You know Dave, I have been in computers since 1967 and I have been consulting for the last 15 and I have to admit, I have never heard that one before!

The code expired!!!! I got so excited to see this but I guess I missed it. Looks like I need to stay on top of things a little better.

Go to the ANOVA face book site.... I saw it there a few minutes ago.... $100 off...

Dang! Just saw this and code is done( I'll tell you, I cooked at a steakhouse and we used sous vide. Would always put in one cooking temp lower and finish on grill...ie. had a bath @ rare. Would pull from there and throw on grill to med rare. So beautiful to have a steak that is a bit charred on outside but then uniform color/temp throughout rather than seared and gradient to final temp in middle. It is the standard way of cooking a steak at the top restaurants.
