Merry Christmas, y'all. I looked back in my email, and my registration from 2008 I guess isn't still valid. :emoji_laughing:

I seem to mostly work a lot, and we're empty nesters now, so I'll use those as excuses for why my BBQ frequency has tailed off. But I do the occasional butt, brisket or rack of ribs. Have had a BGE for a bit that I still haven't fully mastered. I also warm/cold smoke now and then- the main thing I'll do is salmon bellies that I cure and smoke for eating and fish dip.

I rejoined b/c I am getting ready to embark on a country ham odyssey. A cousin is really tight with a small scale rancher, and they're forcing me to finally get off my butt and do this thing I've wanted to probably since my old registration was valid.

Cheers!

Welcome back
I see you found @Count Porcula thread on country ham.

And a Merry Christmas to you! Good luck on the ham journey.

Thanks, all. No worries on the old account. Hope you had a great holiday. We had a challenging but good visit from my elderly parent for brunch and then the extended family get together on my wife's side later in the day. My sister in law did great harm to some expensive beef despite my having bought her a couple of Thermapen Dots the last time she did this. Pretty sure I saw the unopened box in a drawer at one point. You can lead a horse to water, I guess...
