Havn't done much smoking but really want to start. I've hunted and fished most of my life so I want to add to the ways of enjoying the meat. I have an old fridge in a shed that I want to convert, its snowed in right now so when I get the chance to get to it I want to check if the inside is metal or not. If it is, its going to be my new project..

Any way my questions might be basic but bear with me....I'm new...

Hello and Welcome to our addiction.  A word of warning: There is no 12 step program for this one!  Many good folk here with a load of experience that they are more than willing to share.  If you have specific questions just start a thread and someone with experience will be along soon to offer advice.  All info you can provide us with such as smoker type, location and so on will help us answer any questions you may have.  Spend some time doing some research on the forums, tons of advice and recipes already available there.  We look forward to your contributions.  Have fun.  Good luck.  Keep Smokin!

Hello and welcome from East Texas. This is a great site, lots of information and great people that are willing to throw in their two cents worth on about anything.   What small town in East Texas, I live in Whitehouse just south of Tyler

Hi Don.

We all have to start at some time and no question on here is classed as being too basic. Feel free to ask away and you are likely to receive the combined wisdom of many man-centuries (and women-centuries) of keen smokers. It will not necessarily all be the same advice however it will reflect the diverse experiences of the different people who post on the forum and will head you on the right direction to develop your own wisdom.

Hey Don
