Spoused ta stop snowin later in the day, but more comin Thursday. Enough already!

I hear ya!!! We don't have nearly that much & they just put use under a level 1 emergency only emergency vehicles on road!!!!!

we had the same here Tip, just got the driveway cleared, had drifts over the top of my 350. shoulda took a picture too. the snowmobilers are in heaven.

You must be resistant to cabin fever... I go stir crazy when it rains!

Yup, nieghboor kid at the end a the road buried his 4 wheel drive pickup in a drift. Came up en asked if I'd pull him out. Well, I'll try, all I got runin right now is the dodge dakota en that's 2 wheel drive! (The 1 ton dually diesel is settin in bout 3 foot a snow an got #2 in it, don't look ta see it run till bout may!) So throw in the tow strap en go down there, that boy ain't to brite! Get hooked up an give it a tug, wheels spin, back up an give it a bit a slack, en go, few times a that en got him pulled out.

I think 750 - 800 pounds a sand in the back end sorta help out a bit!

I had a buddy who waited too long to remove the sand bags and he blewout his clutch. He remembered next time.

We got 14+ on the ground from last Friday/Saturday storm, starting around this evenings rush they are calling for 18+ to come out of the sky over the next 24 hours...

yes, i here you folks out east really getting the snow. we have trucks buried out there.

Ok, I'm done, did the townships work fer em, so they don't even need ta bother comin out this way. I'm pooped, two days a blowin snow is enough! Time fer some apple pie shine an a spell in the recliner!

Rich, only way yer gonna get around in these parts is if ya got some wieght in yer truck. I put em in first snow fall an pull em out bout mid may.

Ususally carry 1100 pounds in the dually otherwise it's helpless!

For most folks, 4 wheel drive is jsut a way to get stuck further from the pavement. It's not a substitute for thinking, as your young friend discovered...

Yup, like I said, he ain't the brightest kid. He said, "Ya ain't gonna tell my dad about this are ya"? I said knaw, but when it comes time ta start haulin firewood again, some help would be nice!

I think he figures the old man would let him have it with both barrels fer gettin stuck down there. Kids alright an his dads a good enough nieghbor, so I'll give the kid a break.

Yeah, 4wd is nice an I'd like ta have another one, but there to much more money then the same truck in 2wd. Use yer head an the right tires an such an I get by just fine. If it's so bad I can't get out I shouldn't be out anywho!

We got 9" yesterday...

25 years ago, I don't remember cars getting stuck in the snow. We had snow tires and rear wheel drive. I think people knew the limitations of their vehicles, but with front wheel drive or all wheel drive, people get stupid!

I pull "Stupid People" out of the ditch all the time!
