Thanks Adam,I haven't messed with pellets.I have/had no idea how much ash they produced.

If you do decide on getting one, try microwaving the pellets before you light them in the tube. They seem to burn better, one minute has worked for me.

I use the tube and have never had to nuke the pellets . Works great .

Thanks all.Guess I'll stick with chunks and chips since I use charcoal....If it aint broke.....

Don't give up on the tube so quickly. I don't use it for hot smoking, but it's a godsend for cold-smoking.

Point taken Chris.All I do is hot smoke though some smoked Camembert sounds mighty fine!
