AMNPS?????

Still new here and have a question.  I HAVE SEARCHED.  I have the MES30 and Ive read so many threads on people using the AMNPS.  Im not even sure the purpose of it.  Is it a smoke enhancer?  Do I have to remove anything in my smoker to use it?  Does it replace the wood chip thingy?  Im so sorry for the newbie stupid questions.  Ive made a few posts and still only used my smoker 3 times but everything turned out fantastic.  I have looked it up but Im still learning on how to use this site and maybe I just havent come across the proper threads on the benefits and how to use it.  I dont smoke very often and when I do, I only use chips for a couple hrs out of the complete cook time.  I dont like to oversmoke my food.  Maybe I will not benefit from getting an AMNPS?????  Like said before Im sorry for the newbie stuff and I have tried to research.  Ive found many threads with people talking about it but not really anything stating exactly what it is and how to use it.  THANKS GUYS

It is a great tool to use in many ways.....

Usually they are placed in the lower left side of the cook chamber with a foil tent over it to keep the drippings from putting it out. You need to leave the feeder tube open about an inch to alow air to get in to keep it burning.

It allows you to not have to add chips every 30 min or so........
You are able to get more verity of wood flavors to use in it then you are able to find at most stores.....
You can turn your MES into a cold smoker buy just running it and not turning on the MES.......
You don't have to fill the whole thing, you can put just as much as you want to burn. I have even put different flavors in sort of a layer. It allows you to be very creative and free up some time.....

Just a bit of my experience.......... Tons on the site, take the time a run a few searches and you will be reading for days......

Simple answer:

It will make your mes more of a "set it and forget it" smoker.  No more loading wood chips and worrying about them over smoking your food.
