Had a quick question regaring the AmazinSmoker.. I'm wondering which one of these is the best one for smoking cheese (noticed there were several to choose from)?? I'm assuming the one that burns the longest, but not for sure.. Please let me know when you get the time.. Thanks in advance for all info..

Depends on your smoker.

I use the tubes bra cause I also use them in my propane smoker when making jerky and sausage. The tubes work better in the gas smokers.

When cold smoking things like cheese I put the tube in my mailbox mod and pipe the smoke in.

The AMNS with dust burns the coolest... the AMNPS works well but the ambient temp needs to be about 50 to keep the temp down.. the AMNTS burns the hottest and gives off a lot of smoke... If you have large smokers, use any of the devices....

Depending on your setup, most will go for the original AMNS which uses dust which burns with the least amount of heat (ideal for cheese and butter smoking). Now, a lot of people use the AMNPS which was originally designed to burn pellets but many have used it also with dust. Yesterday I used one of my AMNPS in propane smoker using no gas and smoked some cheese.

If I was using my propane smoker with heat, I will use a AMNTS as Case mentions above.

The Amnps burns both dust and pellets. I have never tried dust before let alone in the Amnps but I have a row of Todd's Pecan dust ready to put in my mailbox mod for a test run on sausage, pork patties and whatever has been in the freezer awhile.
