Hello from Oregon! I started my smoking adventures about a year ago when my wife and I bought an $80 Char-Broil smoker on a whim. We enjoyed the process so much we quickly upgraded to a larger OK Joe's Highland smoker.

I'm trying to perfect my smoked pulled pork recipe. Last weekend we smoked a shoulder and two pork sirloins. The pulled pork from the shoulder was good, but it was hard to deny that the sliced loin was more moist and delicious.

I've been on this Earth for 47 years and I'd pretty much only grilled with propane before this. Why didn't I start smoking sooner?

Keith, welcome to SMF!  Glad you're here and enjoying your OKJ smoker.  There are a ton of pulled pork threads in the forum.  You'll have your own style, preference, and technique nailed in no time.  Those sirloins man fantastic, simple to make, Canadian-style bacon BTW, another adventure you can look forward to having with your smoker.

Glad you started smoking!  Enjoy the forum!

always good to see a new face.. and hope you're ready to let out your belt a couple notches - so much tasty food here.

Thanks for the welcome!

Canadian bacon you say? Interesting.

So far our greatest success has been with chicken halves and meatloaf.
