I got a very inexpensive aluminum warmer cabinet 6' x 2' x 2.5' at an auction. I am considering removing the heating element in the bottom that doesn't work and turning it into a charcoal smoker.
I was told that aluminum might not do well with the heat, even though I do not run my smoker very hot. I was also told I should line the bottom with fire brick to distribute the heat well.
CAN ANY OF YOU WITH EXPERIENCE HELP ME BEFORE I PUT A LOT OF TIME IN?
